Krish has a reputation for merging commercial insight with legal expertise, providing clients with advice that is both strategic and practical.  

With a specialty in end to end corporate/commercial and financial services regulatory matters related to blockchain and cryptocurrency, Krish has advised some of the largest cryptocurrency businesses globally including 3 of the top 80 cryptocurrency businesses by market cap.

Krish was the winner of the 2024 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Award for Technology Law. In 2023, he was recognised as one of Australia’s Best Lawyers Under 35 by Australasian Lawyers. He has consistently ranked as a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards for Commercial Law, Financial Services Law and Technology Law, earning 5 nominations between 2022 and 2024. Krish is passionate about the development of the fintech and startup ecosystem, having assisted the Bond University’s Transformer Program and Queensland University of Technology’s Business and Entrepreneurship Program by providing mentoring and guidance to start-ups and founders at both Universities. He currently sits on a number of for-profits and not-for-profit boards providing strategy, corporate governance and risk guidance.

Krish holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Bond University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law and a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne. He is admitted to practice in Queensland, the High Court of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

  • Advised international cryptocurrency business on corporate restructuring across various jurisdictions;
  • Advised ASX-listed business on whether proposed cryptocurrency token is a financial product under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth);
  • Advised international cryptocurrency exchange on regulatory licensing obligations as a Digital Currency Exchange in Australia;
  • Advised international cryptocurrency businesses on AML/CTF compliance including requirements to be registered with AUSTRAC and compliance policies;
  • Advised international cryptocurrency exchange on various product development such as digital asset lending arrangements, staking and NFT partnerships;
  • Advised Augmented and Virtual Reality (Metaverse) client on capital raising via Simple Agreement for Future Tokens;
  • Advised cryptocurrency managed investment scheme fund on investment memorandum and regulatory compliance; and
  • Advised NFT provider on product structuring and release.
